Livestock is a major component of Nepalese farming. Pig and goat farming for meat production are also popular in the region. Poultry farming is also increasing in farmer's level. Certain ethnic groups like Rai, Limbu, Magar and Gurung preferred to rear pig for meat. Along with these increments, the awareness of farmers towards feeding nutritive green fodder to their animal is also increasing.
